They are determined to make Arsene Wenger break his promise not to sell Sanchez this summer, even though the Chile forward has 12 months left on his contract and as things stand go for free next year.
They believe they can tempt Arsenal into selling, because Sanchez going to PSG would be preferable to him signing for one of their direct Premier League rivals.
PSG are also ready to meet Sanchez’s staggering wage demands — the star is currently asking for £400,000-a-week to sign a new deal at the Emirates.
Sporting director Antero Henrique was believed to be in London last week to try to broker a deal, knowing that the Gunners are determined not to sell to rival suitors Manchester City.
Sanchez moving would have a major knock-on effect for Arsenal’s plans, as they do not want to sell both him and fellow frontman Olivier Giroud, who is a target for Everton.
They believe losing both men would leave them short of options in attack, and are holding tight onto France international Giroud as they wait to see what happens on Sanchez.
Boss Wenger issued a strong public statement this week saying they had made a club decision not to sell, but that determination will now be tested by PSG.
If they do opt to cash in, they will put the money straight back into buying Thomas Lemar, with a deal in place to get Monaco’s France winger.
