The mother of the Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, Alhaja  Saratu has died this morning.

Though, there is no official statement from the government yet, sources confirmed to Daily Trust  that Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola has died.

The remains of the deceased would be buried in Ilesa today in accordance with Islamic rites.

Popularly known as Iya-olobi during her lifetime,  late Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola was a renowned business woman.

Six students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) have been expelled from the institution for various offences by the Senate.

An official statement by the university on Tuesday stated that the offences included examination malpractice and incitement.

The Senate said the decision to expel the students was taken at the 432nd Senate Meeting of the university held last Thursday.

The university also disclosed that a male postgraduate student of the Department of Educational Management was rusticated for allegedly damaging the image of the university.

The statement said,

The student was also rusticated for incitement against a staff for enforcing the no-hawking policy of the institution.  

“Senate also approved the expulsion of a female student of the College of Health Sciences, who having previously failed-out from her Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) programme, inexplicably continued her study. 

Staff suspected to have been complicit in the scam are being questioned by the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee to ascertain their level of culpability”.

It further disclosed that four students in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences were expelled for examination malpractice during the university’s 2015/2016 second semester examination.

Also, seven members of staff of the university were suspended indefinitely over their alleged involvement in pulling down a building under construction in the university campus.

It added,

The suspended officers have already been placed on half pay which shall last throughout the period of their interdiction.”

According to Linda, any man who would finally claim her heart and eventually take her to the altar must be dexterous and highly skillful at the things of the inner room.

When asked if she has been downloading proposals from suitors as well as what she requires in a man she would love to marry, she dropped some interesting points.

“I’m downloading quite a lot of proposals. You know people say when a woman is successful, men run away, it’s a lie, that is when they chase you the more. But unfortunately, I haven’t seen what I’m looking for. To be honest, I keep telling people, it’s not like men are scarce, it’s the type of man some of us are looking for that is scarce, if I want to marry next year I can, but he would not be the kind of man I want. 

I want a man that I can look up to, someone that inspires me, someone that would push me, someone that would motivate me, somebody that has had some success in his own career path, then I can look up to him and be like “wow”, a man that teaches me and I can learn from. I’m inspired by successful people, someone like Tyler Perry, I can’t wait to meet him. 

I can’t marry a poor guy, I’m being honest about it, no I can’t, he doesn’t have to be very rich but let him be successful in his own way. You may come across some successful men but there is something wrong there, so the whole package is what I’m looking for. 

When I was like 30-years old, my standards were very high, extremely high, but I wasn’t looking at marrying, I was just focused on work because I’ve always been so ambitious that I wasn’t focusing on marriage or kids. I felt like I should just do what I wanted to do. It was just recently that I began to think about marriage, and to be honest, my requirements are only three now. 

He must be successful, he must be a good man, in the sense that he must be supportive of me, if he tries to stifle me then I’m out. Lastly, he has to be a man that likes $ex and must be very good at it”, she stated.

Billionaire blogger, Linda Ikeji has called for the arrest of Bob Risky’s make up artist soon after some unflattering portraits of the bleaching, cross dressing, self proclaimed ‘prostitute’ hit the internet.

Linda Ikeji apparently appalled by the shoddy job executed by Risky’s make up artist, said that he looked crazy and whomever was responsible should be arrested.

This publication cannot ascertain who the make up artist is at this time, however Risky was recently in the news after he reneged on a contract to pay a young Nigerian stylist who braided his hair in Houston.

Only recently the infamous Bob Risky who is known for his outlandish remarks on social media, said that he was in the business to break the homes of happily married Nigerian women.

It seems Linda Ikeji believes he will need a better make up artist if he is to achieve his goals for 2017 and beyond. As Mr. Risky would say “Oshey, baddest!”

The English Football League (EFL) will introduce the new ABBA format for penalty shoot-outs in its competitions during the 2017/2018 season.

UEFA is already using the system, which is based on the format used in tennis tie-breaks, with the team taking the first kick in each pair of kicks alternating, so AB BA AB and so on instead of AB AB etc.

The EFL’s trial of the format will apply to this season’s League Cup, EFL Trophy and the playoffs.

We welcome innovation at the EFL and I am pleased to see that the EFL is able to play its part in an important development for football. 

IFAB have identified a theory that the current arrangements for penalty kicks potentially provide an unfair advantage to the team taking the first kick so we are keen to see if the new system has an impact on one of the most discussed issues in football. 

We all want football matches to be decided in a fair and consistent manner and I am sure the new system will add an interesting dynamic to the conclusion of matches in our competitions if required,” EFL chief executive, Shaun Harvey, said in a statement.
