Super Eagles Head coach Sunday Oliseh has
given a surprise invite to Arsenal FC starlet Alex
Iwobi for next month’s international friendlies
against Democratic Republic of Congo and
Cameroon in Belgium.
The Super Eagles play the Leopards of the
Democratic Republic of Congo on October 8 and
the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon three days
later, in Belgium.
Iwobi alongside other invited players are expected
to arrive in Belgium on Monday, 5th October.

His inclusion comes just 5 days after the Nigeria
Football Federation released a list of 24 players for
both International friendlies.
Iwobi, who trained with the Nigeria U-23 squad
ahead of an All-Africa Games qualifying return leg
match early March 2015, is eligible to represent
Nigeria despite featuring for England at youth
level.
The 19 –year old attacker who plays as a forward
and captains the Gunners’ U21s, was born in
Lagos but has represented the English youth
teams.
He may likely feature for the Gunners when they
go to White Hart Lane to play against Tottenham in
a Capital one cup fixture tonight.
