Collation of results for the governorship election in the state started this morning.
Some 1,925,105 voters on Wednesday went to various polling booths in 18 local government areas of Edo State to elect a new governor, in what many have described as a big power fight between the PDP and the APC.
The build-up to the election, which was earlier slated to hold on September 10, but shifted to September 28, was evidently full of blame game, acrimony, suspicion and suspense.
The PDP has Ize-Iyamu, a pastor, lawyer, politician and farmer as its candidate while the APC has Mr. Godwin Obaseki, a businessman and politician.
