Armed robbers last week Thursday killed a Pastor
and his wife, Obi and Ebere Williams in Bayan Garin
area, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis.
According to
reports, the couple, who are both from the South
East, were killed as Ebere went about her job as a
thrift collector.
Bauchi state police spokesperson, DSP Haruna
Mohammed said the gunmen accosted the couple
while on the road, snatched the money Ebere
collected from her customers as daily contributions
and then shot the couple...
"Police detectives attached to the Estate
Division rushed to the scene and evacuated
Williams and his wife to the Abubakar Tafawa
Balewa University Teaching hospital,
ATBUTH, Bauchi where they were certified
dead on arrival by doctors. The exhibit
recovered from the scene of the crime was an
expanded ammunition of 7.62 mm and efforts
are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators of
the dastardly act”
