Arsenal are reportedly considering Bournemouth manager, Eddie Howe to replace Arsene Wenger with the Frenchman’s contract set to expire this summer.
It is understood that the hierarchy at the Emirates admire Eddie Howe who kept Bournemouth in the Premier League last season and also prefer him due to diligent approach to the game.
Arsene Wenger who has spent almost two decades at the North London club is yet to make a decision on his future at the club.
Although, club owner Stan Kroenke told Wenger he can extend his deal but they believe Howe can be a direct replacement if he quits; even as the board hope to offer the arsenal boss a technical director position in order to have a smooth transition period.
However, the news of Arsene Wenger’s departure has been greeted with mixed feelings due to the Frenchman’s failure to win the major trophies in the recent years while he also did the unforgettable feat of helping them build a stadium and maintained the status of a big club even with financial constraints he had.
Wenger, who loaned Jack Wilshere to Bournemouth last week, is also a firm admirer of Howe’s methods.
