– The Nigerian Law School is a strict centre which every would-be lawyer prays to pass through so as to be called to bar
– However, 55 of the graduating students would not take part in this year’s call to bar ceremony because they went against a policy
The Council of Legal Education in Nigeria has punished a total of 55 students who reportedly went against the policy of the Nigerian Law School.
While their mates are currently being called to bar, they would have to wait till next year before taking part and this must be upon their participation in a dinner to be organised later in the future.
Their names were released in and their offence was that they failed to meet the school’s dinning terms.
According to The Nigeria Lawyer, “the students were said to have arrived late for the dinner which was the third for the session. This action by the students was reported to have been a breach of the guidelines set by the Body of Benchers before a person can be called to the Nigerian Bar.
