Alexis Sanchez has had his Spanish home seized by government authorities investigating tax evasion.
The Gunners striker has been caught up in the scandal in Spain over failing to pay the correct level of taxes during his time with Barcelona.
Cristiano Ronaldo is also facing investigation over allegations he failed to pay the correct amount of taxes while at Real Madrid.
The claims against Sanchez date back to his time in Spain during 2011-2013, before his move to the Emirates Stadium.
He is accused of failing to pay tax on image rights by ‘simulating’ the transfer of these rights to a Maltese shell company called Numidia.
Sanchez is understood to own a 99 per cent stake in Numidia – and tax officials in Spain believe he owes them £3.11million in unpaid contributions.
And Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo say it is chasing this debt that has seen the house being seized.
